Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

After several weeks of social media posts hinting at it, a prestigious car manufacturer Lamborghini has finally announced its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. The Space Key is a collection of five physical objects that unlocks an exclusive digital artwork by an unknown artist. It was created in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm) the 'collector's piece' is limited to only five units and will be auctioned off shortly.

The heart of every Space Key is a block of advanced carbon fire composite material that was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. After returning to Earth, the block was engraved with QR codes that connect to the digital component in the Space Key.

Oefner employed an inflatable camera equipped with a lens to capture the individual images, which were later assembled into the final photograph. The result is a photo that is out of this world. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned in the near future, however there is no specific date or location as of yet.

Each NFT will be offered separately and the winner will get an original digital artwork created by world-renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments that the Space Key experienced during its flight in outer space.
