Mesothelioma and Work Exposure

People who work with asbestos (sneak a peek here) are at a higher risk of developing mesothelioma. Firefighters, construction workers and military veterans are at higher risk.

The lining of the lung (pleural mesothelioma), or the abdomen, is the primary site of mesothelioma. In rare instances it can cause damage to the testicles or heart.

Signs and symptoms

Prognosis

Scientists don't know what causes mesothelioma but they do know that asbestos claim exposure increases the risk.
