Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet format of previous albums and was a more powerful, constant effort with an edge that was stronger than Hydra. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature.
